What is the best way to get from Florence to Cinque Terre?

If you want some beautiful views before you reach Cinque Terre, you can get a train and then a ferry. The trip overall is longer, but you’ll get amazing views from the ferry.

All you need to do is get a train from Florence to La Spezia and then a ferry from La Spezia to Cinque Terre. You’ll get views of the colourful buildings on the hills and the beautiful blue water around you.

The ferry does only run between April and November!

Drive yourself in a car

If you have a car, you can drive two hours and 40 minutes to reach Cinque Terre. You can even make a pit stop at many local towns along the one, one being Lucca.
